The Holidays. Accepting recipe requests.

The holidays are coming up and I love to cook. I have a lot of low fat vegetarian recipes that I have come up with on my own or adapted that I can share. I am going to try to put up 2-3 recipes a week. I am thinking Pumpkin Pie, Tofurky preparation recipes, low fat, low cal, high protein lasagna, low fat apple pie, oatmeal cookies, saffron and corn soup, mashed sweet potatoes, a yummier drink than eggnog, and information about how to cook with wine and vegetable broth. If anyone has a dish they would like to make let me know and I will try to make it veggie and lighten it up for you.

B vitamins

I have been a vegetarian for 14 years and I wonder if I have enough B vitamins. I have started a medication called Xan-Pro which has niacin (B3) and Sam-e. I also take Beyond B which offers 33000% of the FDA recommended amount sublingually. This is because it is so hard to absorb B-12 that it is unlikely I will even get 50% of the daily allowance from this pill.

Scales

I am so nervous of weighing and I never know the right way to do it. Should I take off my shoes? My clothes? Should I wear combat boots? :) If I use a public scale, later can I weigh my clothes and subtract them? I weighed yesterday on my mom’s scale, but it is not reliable. There is a Dr’s scale at the gym, but then everyone can see and some rude person might comment.
